Rooted Global Fruit Co. is a young and exciting fresh fruit company with roots in Hong Kong, one of the trading capitals of the world, and South Africa, renowned for its world class fresh produce.

Our directors, Ryno Palm and Ankia Rabie-Gerber have accumulated many years of experience within the fruit industry. Their individual strengths combine to form a solid partnership that serves as the foundation on which Rooted Global Fruit Co. is built.

ANKIA RABIE-GERBER

HONG KONG

In 2017, Ankia moved to Hong Kong, after falling in love with the high-energy, cosmopolitan city. After completing her studies in agriculture, she started working in fruit exports and have loved every minute since. With customers based in South East Asia, China, Middle East and East Europe as well as a worldwide grower base, she commits to keep offering the best options to her customers.

RYNO PALM

SOUTH AFRICA

Ryno lives in the Hex River Valley in South Africa, one of the largest grape growing regions in the world. He is the fourth generation Palm that farms with grapes on the farm where he and his family lives. Ryno is a qualified winemaker, but joined the fruit procurement and marketing arena when he was 21 years old.

We travel the world to source the best in fresh, from the best in fresh.

Fresh produce is sourced from all over the world (Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Zambia, Kenya, Marocco, Egypt, Italy, Peru, Chile, Namibia, and South Africa) and sold globally, which allows us to serve our customers year round.

Citrus, grapes, apples, pears, blueberries, and avocados contribute to more than 80% of our sales. With figs, strawberries, pomegranates, and stone fruit also forming part of our portfolio. We are open to all fresh produce commodities and we are able to source any product our customers request.

We pride ourselves in communicating effectively and providing excellent service to our customers. We aim to grow and strengthen our business through relationships built on trust and understanding our clients’ needs.
